Several companies on one login, and sharing a domain

How one login can hold several businesses, and how to give someone access to just one domain.

Several companies, one login

If you run more than one business, you do not need separate accounts. Each company is its own organisation with its own domains, hosting and invoices, and you switch between them from the menu at the top left of your dashboard.

Billing is completely separate. Each company gets its own invoices, its own VAT number on them, and its own payment method. Nothing is shared or pooled.

To add another company, open the switcher and choose Add a company.

Roles inside a company

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything, including billing and managing people
AdminServices and DNS, can see billing but not change it
BillingInvoices and payments only
MemberServices and DNS, no billing

Sharing one domain with someone outside

If your designer or developer needs to change DNS, do not give them your password. Open the domain, go to Collaborators, and invite them by email with a scope:

  • DNS only — they can edit records on that one domain
  • DNS and email — they can also manage its mailboxes
  • Full domain — everything to do with that domain

They see only that domain. Not your other domains, not your other companies, and never your billing. Revoke it the moment the work is done and their access disappears immediately.

Every change a collaborator makes is recorded against their name, so you can always see who did what.

Still stuck?

Ask Hostiy in the corner. It can see your account, so it will give you the answer for your setup rather than the general one. Anything it cannot answer goes to a person.
