Already own a domain

Bring it across. Nothing goes down.

You do not have to start again. Tell us what you have and we will show you the shortest way to get it running here.

What is the domain?

What do you want us to run?

What we do

The migration, step by step

You send us access. We do the rest and tell you when to expect the switch.

1

You send us access

Your current hosting login, and the auth code if you are transferring the domain too.

2

We copy everything

Files, databases and every mailbox with its full history. Your old site keeps running.

3

We test on our servers

We check the site loads and email flows before anything changes for your visitors.

4

We switch the DNS

Out of hours, at a time we agree. We confirm once it is live and watch it for a day.

Free, however many sites you are moving.

Questions

About moving

No. We copy everything across and test it on our servers first. Only once it is working do we change the DNS, so visitors never hit a broken site.

No. We copy your existing mail across before changing the MX records, and we do the cut-over out of hours. Anything that arrives during the change is delivered once the records update.

Not at all. You can leave it registered where it is and just point it at us. Transferring is usually simpler to manage in the long run, and .co.za transfers are free, but it is your call.

Nothing. Moving your site, databases and mailboxes is included when you take a hosting plan, however many sites you have.

Most small sites are moved within a working day. We tell you the cut-over time up front and confirm once it is done.

Access to your current hosting (cPanel login or FTP details), and either the auth code if you are transferring the domain, or access to change DNS if you are not.
